SUMMARY: Compiles, prepares, and verifies data for use in maintaining Sage 100 accounting records by performing the following duties primarily for Fairway Import-Export Company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inventory Control in Sage 100 includes Adjustments, transfers, and receipt processing.
- Works with Inventory Receiving Manager to randomly verify cycle counting.
- Assist external auditors when applicable, typically bi-annual.
- Review, verify and Post PO Receipt of Invoice and PO Receipt goods
- Sage 100 Day’s End Invoice Batching and Posting-Backup person
- Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
- Balances account spreadsheets matches and defines Inventory, Purchase clearing, and prepaid deposits as it relates to purchasing procurement.
- Take charge of Sage Bill of Materials Maintenance “Cost Accounting”, Review and process BOM production assemblies / Cost Accounting transactions, for assembling Finished Goods of combined inventory raw component items and materials for 8 to 16 hours per month.
- Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases-Backup person.
- Fixed Assets excel file-maintain, reconcile to the GL, and post monthly depreciation journals.
- Borrowing Base Certificate-prepare monthly in excel for the bank.
- Slow Moving Inventory report- prepare monthly in excel for the bank.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Controller.
- Work flexible hours, 9:00am to 6pm could be longer, Monday thru Friday
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in accounting major; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the accounting field.
- Previous Cost Accounting experience in a Manufacturing Company is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, Excel VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables REQUIRED
- Sage 100, Mas 90, Sage MAS 200 preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years or more working experience in a Staff Accountant type role.
- Accurately keystroke a minimum of 60 wpm.
- 10-key by touch.
- Crystal Reports experience helpful
