If so, we’re looking for a Junior Website Designer to join our team and contribute to the creation of visually stunning, user-friendly, and optimized websites.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design and development teams to create visually appealing and responsive website layouts, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Utilize your Shopify expertise to customize and configure Shopify themes, plugins, and extensions, meeting both aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Translate design mockups into well-organized HTML and Liquid CSS, maintaining the integrity of the design while optimizing for speed and performance.
- Implement on-page SEO elements such as meta tags, headers, and keyword optimization to enhance website visibility and search engine rankings.
- Work closely with content creators to ensure that website content is presented effectively, taking into account both design and SEO considerations.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative design ideas and solutions to enhance the overall visual identity and branding of our websites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project goals, requirements, and timelines, ensuring that design deliverables align with business objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance your skills and contribute fresh ideas to the team.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience working with Shopify backend, including theme customization, app integration, and e-commerce functionalities.
- Proficiency in HTML and Liquid CSS, with the ability to translate design concepts into clean, efficient, and responsive code.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and best practices, including on-page optimization techniques and keyword integration.
- Strong command of Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD, to create and edit visual assets for web design projects.
- Solid communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, gather requirements and explain design decisions.
- A portfolio showcasing your previous web design projects, highlighting your technical skills and design aesthetic.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality work within established deadlines.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving, coupled with a willingness to learn and embrace new technologies.
Education Requirements:
- High school Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Certificates in this related field are a plus but not required.
- Associate degree in Graphic Design, Web Design preferred.

Salary: $52,500 – $60,000
