Senior Purchasing Specialist

SUMMARY:  Seeking an energetic and detail oriented individual. Must be organized, trustworthy, a hard worker, insightful but dedicated to aiming for perfection. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Handles inventory forecasting for International and Domestic purchases.
      • Manage and review inventory levels to ensure proper levels are on order.
      • Communicates with all vendors on purchasing transactions.
      • Ensure all Purchase Orders are under production and ship in a timely manner.
      • Creates and places orders with vendors.
      • Check invoices for accuracy and ensure accounting receives proper documentation for vendor payments.
      • Enter data into ERP system (SAGE 100c) regularly to ensure all data is up to date.
      • Ensure that products/orders are shipped/delivered in a timely manner and notify management of any delays.
      • Follow inventory control policies and procedures.
      • Coordinates with factories and forwarders on best shipping plan.
      • Informs warehouse with proper documents for all incoming shipments. Advance notice.
      • Develop and maintain strong factory relations.
      • Work with Freight forwarders and brokers to ensure all proper documentation is provided for custom clearance.
      • Responsible for the proper and efficient logistic from country of origin to our warehouse.
      • Primary contact for all factories and internal personnel for problem resolution, including identifying and resolving issues around Purchasing functions.
      • Able to perform other duties as assigned.
      • Willing to work flexible hours; 9:00am to 6pm. Hours could be longer depending on work load. (Monday thru Friday)

QUALIFICATIONS:

      • 3-5 years import/purchasing experience is preferred.
      • Superior analytical skill set
      • Sharp focus, attention to detail, and ability to self-motivate.
      • Fluency in English required.
      • Superior Excel skills including Vlookup & Pivot Tables.
      • Experience in ERP inventory and purchasing systems.
      • Must be able to multitask while providing timely and accurate turnaround on tasks
      • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
      • Starting Salary $65K to $75K range
      • 401k Safe Harbor matching up to 4% for your 5% savings
